How to flexibly grasp the influence of ink thickness on product quality

In general, the thicker the ink, the greater its viscosity, and the less active the ink is. If the ink is too thick, the ink in the ink hopper is not easy to ink, and the ink on the ink roller is not easy to evenly distribute. As a result, the ink on the printing plate cannot be evenly distributed and easily accumulates on the plate, which can also cause paper scratching and other phenomena. If the ink is too thin, the viscosity is too low, and the movement is too large, it will make the printed product light and dull, distorted, the dot deformation and expansion, and it will also easily cause dirt and other phenomena.
Flexibly grasp the thickness of ink
From the properties of ink, magenta ink and black ink should be thickened, followed by cyan ink, yellow ink, light red, light blue, etc., which should be thinned.
From the distribution of graphics and text in the layout, it can be seen that when printing large-scale solid editions, the ink needs to be thinner in order for the solid editions to be printed smoothly and less prone to scratching; But when printing the network plate, it is required that the ink be thicker to prevent the dots from deforming, expanding, and sticking.
From the weather conditions, when the temperature is high, the activity of the ink increases accordingly. Therefore, in order to control the activity of the ink appropriately, it should be thickened; When the temperature is low, the activity of ink decreases, so it should be thinner; When the weather is dry, the ink should also be thinned appropriately.
From the perspective of machine operating speed, if the machine is fast, the ink roller will generate heat during rapid operation, which will increase the activity of the ink. Therefore, the ink should be thickened; On the contrary, if the machine speed is slow, the heat generated by the ink roller during operation is relatively low, so the ink needs to be thinned appropriately.

From the perspective of the smoothness of the paper, when the surface of the paper is rough, the texture is soft, and the absorption is high, the ink should be thinner; On the contrary, paper has a high surface smoothness, compact texture, and low absorbency. Ink should be thickened, as thin ink can easily cause smudging.
